I like how in the second one the purple flower is more pronounced because of the darker background. In the first however, I think it would have looked cool if you only darkened the purple flowers in the background for more of a contrast. In the original you definitely see more of the texture. Nice work!
This is a great start! Use many different settings and see what happens. Typically, the settings you will use for your photographs will be fairly subtle. When you raise the contrast and the saturation of your color, it generally makes your photographs much more eye-catching, especially for the web.
Wow both of these turned out very well. You sure know when to enhance the colors. Purple is such a great color to enhance because it really deepens the photo. Good job!
